OLIVER CHIPERESA RECEIVES AFDIS AWARD
Oliver Chiperesa, Old Georgian from the class of 2017, has won an award at the 2018 Annual Afdis Awards’ Ceremony at Reps Theatre, Harare.
At the awards festival held in March 2018 at Reps, Oliver was awarded a Certificate of Commendation for writing and directing the SGC 2017 Drama Club production “A Minute Past Midnight: A simple guide as to why humans suck”.
Oliver Chiperesa, an active member of the drama club at the College, demonstrated a wide set of skills, acting in most productions and assisting off stage in a number of capacities. This culminated, fittingly, with his production “A Minute Past Midnight: A simple guide as to why humans suck” for the SGC 2017 Drama Club production. He both wrote and directed the play.
He is justly rewarded, having illustrated his blend of skills, which indeed made for great entertainment!
