Over the years with the increasing number of students taking up the Sciences for IGCSE and A Level, the College realised that the current Science facility at the time was not fit for purpose. A few years ago, a new strategic decision was made to build a new facility to cater for the growing needs of our students. What you see here today is the realisation of this vision.
The Fr Michael Ross SJ Science Centre was officially opened by His Excellency, The President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Cde Emmerson Mnangwagwa on the 30th November 2018. This facility was named after Fr Michael Ross SJ who taught Physics at the College for many years. The legacy that he left behind was extraordinary and we felt that this needed to be acknowledged. Within the walls of the Science Centre, there are eleven (11) state-of-the-art laboratories equipped to the highest international standards, staff room and offices.
If you look at the new Fr Michael Ross SJ Science Centre and its architecture, you will soon realise that it is not a building that is out of place as it blends well together with the older surrounding buildings around campus thus, it is our own symbol of our commitment to our rich traditions but at the same time, revamping and taking history forward. A true work of art has been constructed and we are proud to offer this facility to our students and staff everyday!
