On the 28th of November 2018 the Debate Society held their annual Social with students from Arundel ;Chisipite and Hellenic. Our evening of engaging discussion was centred around culture; our topic being “Whether the Gains of Multicultural Diversity are Worth the Potential Loss of Traditional Culture in Zimbabwe”. The lively debate which unfolded between the two teams, that consisted of a mix of students from different schools, showcased the astounding quality of Zimbabwean schools debaters.
Our Guest of Honour for the evening was Ms Samantha Musa AKA Ms Red. She is a Radio Broadcaster and media personality. She was impressed by the debate and we were thankful for her involvement and interest in our topic. The lovely evening came to an end with a closing toast and a buffet of snacks in the open air outside the Pavilion.
