LOWER 6 (YEAR 12) Navigation Admissions Process for Lower 6 (Year 12) Ready to join our vibrant Lower 6 community? Here’s how to apply: Step 1: Apply Now (July to November) Attend our Virtual Information Evening on Thursday, September 5th: https://shorturl.at/43mFo Download the application form and brochure below or collect them from the Registrar’s office. Submit the completed application with: Birth certificate copy Baptism/Dedication certificate copy Previous school reports and achievements (Forms 3 & 4 only) Recent passport photo US$ 50.00 Application fee Step 2: Selection Process (November – December 2024) Attend our Open Day in November. Interview and assessments in early December. Service project registration (November/December). Receive conditional acceptance letters by December. Step 3: Finalise Your Place (January 2025) After IGCSE results, confirm subject choices based on your performance. Step 4: Welcome to Lower 6 (February 2025) Purchase uniforms. Pay the $1,800 deposit and term fees. Orientation. Service Project Programme: All Lower 6 students participate in a mandatory community service program while awaiting IGCSE results in January. Students provide service for three weeks in Term 1 to underprivileged communities before classes begin. This explains our slightly later academic calendar start date. Fundraising and Service (Lent Term): Lower 6 students will collaborate with a class to raise funds for their chosen service agency (e.g., old age homes, children’s homes, etc.). Form 2 Year 9 & Form 3 Year 10

FORM 2 (YEAR 9) & FORM 3 (YEAR 10) Navigation Our Form 2 (Year 9) & Form 3 (Year 10) Application Process is as follows: STEP 1: You will need to collect an Application Form and Brochure from the Registrar at St George’s College or download them using the download icons (at bottom of page). You must return the completed Application Form with the following: a copy of your son’s birth certificate; a copy of your son’s Baptism/Dedication Certificate; copies of previous school achievements (ie. Academics, Sporting and Cultural, for past two years only); copies of previous school reports (for past two years only); a recent passport-sized photograph of applicant; application fee, to the Registrar as soon as possible. Please note: applicants of all religious backgrounds are welcome to apply. STEP 2: Once the completed Application Form has been returned to the Registrar and is deemed in order, it will then be taken to the Headmaster for review. Once the Headmaster has reviewed the application, the Registrar will be in touch with you concerning acceptance or regret. STEP 3: If your son is accepted, you will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit to confirm your acceptance of the place, before the stated deadline by the Registrar. STEP 4: All that is left is for you to collect your son’s: – Handbook (Registrar’s Office) and– School Fee invoice (Accounts Office), before the start of the term entering the College. Please note: The College does not ordinarily take new students into Form 4 (Year 11)! Form 1 Year 7

FORM 1 (YEAR 7) Navigation Our Form 1 Application Process is as follows: STEP 1: You will need to collect an Application Form and Brochure from the Registrar at St George’s College or download them using the download icons (at bottom of page), during your son’s Grade 6 year or Term 1 of his Grade 7 year. You must return the completed Application Form with the following: a copy of your son’s birth certificate; a copy of your son’s Baptism/Dedication Certificate; copies of previous school achievements (ie. Academics, Sporting and Cultural, for Grade 6 & 7 only; copies of previous school reports (for Grade 6 & 7 only); a recent passport-sized photograph of applicant; application fee, to the Registrar as soon as possible. Please note: applicants of all religious backgrounds are welcome to apply. STEP 2: You will receive a document (Form A) from the Registrar asking you to confirm if St George’s College is your son’s high school of first choice, which is usually sent out early May. You will need to return the completed Form A document to the Registrar at the beginning of June. STEP 3: If St George’s College is your son’s high school of first choice, your son will be required to write the CHISZ Grade 7 Entrance Assessment at the College, usually on the first Saturday in July.  The assessment comprises of a Mathematics and an English paper. Please note: Foreign applicants resident outside Zimbabwe will be required to be present at the College to write the assessment. You will need to collect your son’s acceptance or regret letter from the Registrar approximately two weeks after sitting the assessment. If your son is accepted, you will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit to confirm your acceptance of the place, usually by the end of August. STEP 4: All that is left is for you to collect your son’s/daughter’s: – Handbook (Registrar’s Office) and– First Term’s invoice (Accounts Office), before the end of Term 3 of his Grade 7 year.
